The beginning of my teaching career started here at ASA in 2007. I have had the pleasure of teaching many students over the years in such classes as U.S. History, Sociology, Law, Humanities, Civics, etc. My students and I have had success over the years in the Civic Engagement Project, which is a competition between many YCCS schools. My great interests are in anything related to understanding society and history. I truly believe that having a good understanding of our past will inform us about where we are, who we are, why we are, and how we can get to where we want to be. If we fail to positively engage in our society then we are assuring that our society and government will fail us. Democracy must be nurtured to achieve the highest goals of our nation. I hope that we can learn how to do that together in our classes.
Dear ASA students. We are one week away from the beginning of the school year. This one will begin differently from all others but it will be a successful one with hard work and dedication. I will do my best to help you along the way.
